Artist Giorgio Andreotta Calò is presenting his project "Lacuna" at the Ocean Space Center in Venice (Campo San Lorenzo).
He walked all around the Venetian Lagoon in order to understand the balance between Venice and its environmental surroundings. Is the Lagoon an extention of Venice? Or is it Venice that has to be considered as a small part of the Lagoon?

Discovering the biodiversity of the "barene" at Sant'Erasmo Island (Venetian Lagoon).
We discussed about local plants and animals, erosion processes, tidal events and the effects of the Mose dam on the ecosystem of the lagoon.
It's really interesting to discover how salicornia plants are responsible for the formation and preservation of the "barene".

The #Dragonboat trip of the "rowshop" of the ACV2021 was a wonderful opportunity to look at the Venetian Lagoon from a new perspective.
Paddling in group reminded us how important it is to work together to preserve our cultural and natural heritage and to build a better future. - 890331
