A very brilliant lecture (Water as a way of life (and death)) by Florike Egmond has just finished.

She talked about the peculiar geological system of The Netherlands and how the Dutch managed (and sometimes didn't manage) to live with it.

#Water --- According to the first greek philosopher that is mentioned in nowadays manuals (#Talete), water is the primitive element of all things. --- #Aristotle said about him: "There must be some element, one or more than one, from which other things originate, while It remains (i.e. persists, continues to be) [...] Talete, who gave birth to this form of phiosophy, says It is water (and argued that the earth lies over water)."(DK 11 A 12) --- Be it true or false, what is sure is that water is one of the most important natural elements in the #Earth and in #Living beings. And in the #Anthropocene Era it is making feel its presence, and all its strength.
